We have high standards and values that are put into practice every single day. We believe great quality health care should be accessible to everyone. Our focus is helping families be as healthy as possible and avoid diseases that can be preventable. By teaching children the significance of taking care of their health as they make great choices we encourage the future of our community. Dr. Nidhi Kukreja
Speciality: General Pediatrics
Education: St. Louis University
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
I was born in India and at the age of three my family immigrated to a small town on the outskirts of Chicago.
I studied Biology and international Studies, and minored in Spanish at St Louis University, and continued on there for medical school.
I returned to Chicago to complete my residency in Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center.
After completing residency in 2008, I began my career practicing pediatrics on the southwest side of Chicago. I enjoyed serving an educational role for many new and young parents, especially immigrant families. I took "time off" to be at home when my boys were toddlers/preschoolers, but I missed practicing medicine too much, and in 2017 I joined Vida Pediatrics! I love my job because I love being an advocate when it comes to all things preventable health! I especially enjoy guiding parents on breastfeeding, potty training, and developmental and behavioral concerns.
When I'm not working, I'm cooking, working on a project for our home, and exploring the western suburbs with my family!
Olga Gonzalez, CMA
I have been working with the pediatric community for more than 13 years. My goal is to make sure our patients get exceptional care and feel at home when coming to VIDA. I love helping parents in coordinating medical care with the specialty of their need. My best reward is seeing a smile in our patients face when they ask for special stickers.
Loreal Velastegui, MA
I am proud to be a pediatric Medical Assistant for 8 years and counting. I love working and building a bond with our young patients and their families. The best part of my job is taking away their fears and seeing our little ones leave with a smile.
Elizabeth Ruiz, MA
As a recent Medical Assistant graduate, I am grateful for this new opportunity and adventure with VIDA pediatrics. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the kids smile and knowing we make a difference on their health.
